As with many people, music has always been a huge part of my life. I'm a big fan of pop and rock tunes from the 1950's to the present, although my focus is on the 60s and 70s. I'm always hunting for CDs from artists from these time periods. I once worked for a music store chain, which provided a good source for titles but constantly reduced the pay cheques.

My collection of LPs, tapes and CDs covers music from the Beatles to ZZ Top, from bubblegum to the Motown Sound. Music really does make the world go around.

I also purchase old LP covers for their album art. If the vinyl LPs I buy are scratched beyond hope, I simply throw away the platters and keep the covers.

The Internet has provided the ability to download tunes from various music sharing sites, but I like the little info booklets that are contained in the CD cases, especially if the lyrics are supplied. Makes singing in the shower a lot more enjoyable if you know the correct words. Unfortunately, in my case, just knowing the words doesn't make it any more enjoyable for either humans or animals within hearing range.

The following are just a few of my favourite album cover designs.
