NBC's Ed TV SHOW
Since watching the pilot episode of Ed back in October of 2000, I was hooked. It immediately made me think of another favorite show, Northern Exposure

Filled with quirky characters and great writing, Ed was about 'Ed Stevens', a New York City lawyer who loses his job over a misplaced comma and goes home to discover his wife in bed with a mail man.

Depressed, he looks through his old high school yearbook and comes across a picture of head cheerleader 'Carol Vessey', and remembers his crush on her. He then decides to visit his hometown of Stuckeyville, Ohio. There he reconnects with his childhood friends, 'Mike and Nancy Burton', 'Molly Hudson' and of course 'Carol'. On the final night of his visit, the old 'gang' gets together at 'Stuckeybowl' to reminisce. Later, 'Ed' and 'Carol' stroll through the paths of the local pond and share a kiss. This inspires him to buy Stuckeybowl and he heads back to New York City to prepare for the big move.

2 weeks later, he returns to Stuckeyville to pursue 'Carol' and begin his new life as the owner of 'Stuckeybowl', which comes with 3 unusual but loveable employees, 'Phil', 'Shirley' and 'Kenny'.

Through various circumstances, 'Ed' decides to build a law practice in the bowling alley. The townspeople soon realize that 'Ed' is a formidable attorney-at-law.

Each episode dealt with the trials and tribulations of not only 'Ed' but his close friends and the students of Stuckeyville High School, particularly 'Warren Cheswick'.

The show ended in 2004 after four great seasons, but can be seen on CMT Canada.
